Great product Mar 14, 2010 I have been using this product for several weeks now. It is very fast and has an automatic shut off once the water is boiling. It is a great item for a quick fix.

Cleaning Issues Mar 10, 2010 I had to get a new electric water boiler after just a few days with this one, though it was my own choosing. It seemed to boil fine and all, but its crazy difficult to clean properly. The heating system is made of heating coils at the bottom of the container and you're pretty screwed if tea dregs accidentally get stuck down there or if someone uses it to boil something other than water, like milk, that will get insanely stuck to it! I saw screws on the back of the container and maybe if I had had those tiny screwdrivers and like five hours of time I could have figured out a way to get the coil out to clean them, I'm not sure. It didn't seem worth it. it's best in general to just spring for a slightly more expensive one- you pay for what you get!
Exactly what I needed! Mar 09, 2010 I needed a small, cheap electric tea kettle for my classroom so I can conveniently enjoy a mug of tea or my nutrisystem lunches without having to go downstairs to the teacher's lounge to use the microwave. So that being said, I am only one or two cups at any given time. I couldn't believe how quickly the water boiled!!! It felt like seconds, before I knew it, my water was done! There is no whistle, which I like. I certainly It does shut off automatically when it has reached boiling. The lid comes up so that it can be easily cleaned. The electrical cord plugs in and out of the kettle, so that you can safely fill it and empty it. If you are looking for a cheap, small electic kettle then look no further.
It's o.k....... Mar 08, 2010 Well, it does heat up water.
I bought this product so I could heat up water at work to make coffee in a Press Pot. It does what it's supposed to do....heat up water....just fine. However, I will have to say it's quite a bit slower than the one I have at home (another manufacturer). All in all, though, for the price it's a nice purchase.
Works great Mar 05, 2010 This is a great little heater for making coffee with my manual drip coffee maker. The Max fill line is 1.0L, but I fill it all the way to the top to squeeze out nearly 1.5L of hot water (almost enough for brewing 10 cups -- it comes up a little short). I love the relatively low wattage so I don't have to worry about tripping breakers in my cubicle. A bonus is that you can use any computer power cord to plug into this pitcher, so I ditched the short cord that came with it and now use a 6 footer!
