2noisy, noisy.  Feb 25, 2009
Well, it's fairly effective as a heater if you're really close to it. The fan function is pretty useless. The worst part about it to me is how loud it is! Whether it's cooling or heating, it's very noisy. I like a little background noise, but this is like trying to work next to a jet engine...

2Loud. Very loud.  Feb 25, 2009
Pros: Heats space.
Has a timer.
Remote control.

Cons: Manual makes no sense.
Heats small [we're talking two square feet] space.
Auto turn on thermostat control doesn't actually do anything.
IT'S VERY LOUD. I'm not kidding, nobody else in the office will take this space heater from me because it's just too loud.

Thoughts: It's a neat space heater. For the money, you get a lot of features, at least on paper. Realistically it's not a good purchase.

4Noisy but timely  Oct 15, 2008
This is not a quiet unit, but the timers are invaluable to me. I have it set to start about 30 minutes before I get out of bed and then again about 30 minutes before I turn out the light. I was expecting it to pump out a little more heat. I am in a living situation where I have no insulation in the walls or ceiling, so if you live in a building that is up to code, you might find that it heats the room really well. This is the only unit I found with the two-timer feature, so I'm keepin' it!

5Great addition to the bedroom  Jan 09, 2007
Can set two times it automatically comes on-if you like to sleep in a cool room-but want it warm when you go to bed and get up-this is for you.
