Exactly What I Was Looking For Mar 12, 2010 I love this little humidifier. It's size forces me to change the water daily so I don't end up with that gunk that my old humidifier would develop. It produces a very fine mist and I've noticed no leaking or dripping. It does a great job of humidifying my large family room. I highly recommend it.

Good, affordable, no-frills humidifier Mar 11, 2010 This humidifier works well and is very affordable compared to others on the market. It doesn't have some of the features that other offer, such as a humidity sensor. But its variable output can be set to an appropriate level and it runs for a full 10+ hours on a single tank.
There seems to be confusion about its capacity. The tank only holds about 1 gallon of water. I think Crane should be clearer that the 2.3 gallon figure in the name refers to the daily output, not the tank capacity.
Other reviewers comment on the "dripping" sound it makes when operating. I've noticed that, when turned up to its highest setting, there's a bit of a drip noise. It doesn't bother me. I normally run the humidifier at about 50%, and at that level there's very little noise. A slight whirring from the fan and little else. Certainly nothing that keeps me awake at night.
I purchased this humidifier to replace an older, more expensive one that had fallen into disrepair. I have also purchased a second for the nursery and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Stopped working and Amazon refuses to replace Mar 09, 2010 This is my second purchase of the humidifier as I purchased one for my parents home and it stopped working after
1 1/2 months of use. Amazon is refusing to replace the defective product because it's outside of the 30 day return policy. I'm not trying to return the merchandise, I'm trying to exchange the defective one for a new one. I own the same unit and have used it for several months without problems. I'm extremely disappointed in the unit and it being a huge waste of money.

Easy to use and works great Mar 05, 2010 Could not be simpler, I'm not sure how people have had issues with it:
- Take it out of the box
- Put water in it
- Turn it on (sounds kind of like a fish tank filter system)
- Clean it when ever you want
What more could you ask for from a humidifier?

Nice teardrop shape, quiet, effective, but makes dripping noise Mar 05, 2010 I just got my Teardrop humidifier in the mail yesterday and tried it out last night.
I really like the teardrop shape, it's very pretty and neat.
I like that there is just a simple little red light that is very dim, so it DOES NOT light up your room like a disco ball.
I like that there is a simple dial from "off" then when you turn it CLICKS into different strength, so you KNOW it's on.
I like that it's very small. But you NEED to follow directions and place is on a hard smooth surface, higher up (like a nightstand or dresser).
I like that it is VERY quiet... except... and this is why I couldn't give it that 5th star - as it's working it's making drop drip drip noises, like your Tap water faucet is not fully closed. You can't hear the Ultrasonic vibrations, but it does something in the tank so that you constantly (although very quitely) hear water dripping inside. It also gurgles once in a while, which is NOT a big deal. But the drip noise took a little getting used to. Then I went to sleep no problem. It didn't wake me up at night, but I am kinda convinced it'll make you wanna pee more, lol funny as it sounds.
Otherwise, i like it so far!
And YES, the humidifier made it MUCH MUCH easier to sleep at night in my super air-dry, heated room. AND i didn't wake up in the morning crazy thirsty Or with a Bloody nose, which used to happen quite a bit.
My room is about 10 feet by 15 feet and this thing has no problem, keeping up on 1/4 speed through one full tank of water all night.
